I have been to Dublin's several times since it's opening. The first three times the food and service were great. With the exception of the lack of traditional Irish food and the noise level I would have given them a four star rating. However, the past two times the food has been below average and lacking in pride. Bread on Rueben was dry, the meat is processed not authentic corned beef and had very little sauerkraut. The Shepherd's Pie was soupy and lacked fresh vegetables. The folks that ordered it felt it should have come with bread. The pulled pork sandwich was lacking in meat compared to the first time the person ordered it. Diet sodas were flat and the Guinness tap beer tasted "off". Hopefully this is a "hiccup" and will be remedied.

What a great place. Nice little Irish restaurant/bar located in West Bend. The beer selection is fantastic and includes many of the local micro brews, a great way for people to sample many of the fine beers made in wisconsin. We ordered the warm Beer pimento cheese dip with fresh baked soft pretzel appetizer - delicious. The dip had just the right amount of bite to it and the pretzels, oh my, the pretzels. Perfectly soft, warm and absolutely delicious. For my entree I ordered the Duck Confit and Hungarian sausage pasta. I'm normally not a big pasta eater, but the lure of duck drew me in. I was not disappointed. The duck was perfect and the sauce that went along with it was wonderfully rich and satisfying. The service was simply wonderful, extremely nice and genuine. I will definitely return to sample more of the many beers and for more of those soft pretzels! I'm also looking forward to trying the other menu items. Dublin's did not disappoint.

If you'd like to see a bar and restaurant in the process of dying because of complete mismanagement, this is it. It's sad, too, because it's definitely a unique space. We arrived late afternoon when it wasn't particularly busy. We sat in the bar area, added one more chair to a high wobbly table to accommodate our group of four, and got ignored for about 10 minutes while the bartender and various servers seemed to huddle together and talk at the end of the bar. I flagged down a server to ask if we should order at the bar and was told someone would be with us shortly. Another five minutes elapsed, and in the midst of it, a server actually came to our table and removed the lunch/appetizer menus and promptly left. So we sat there again, unattended. Finally, we decided to leave, and were again ignored as we put our coats back on and gathered our things. Other personal anecdotes about bad service, dirty glasses, and the various stories here point to the obvious fact: Whoever's running this place knows virtually nothing about restaurant/bar management, staff training, procedure, quality control and service.

I have mixed reviews about Dublin ' s. I have been there and the food and service has been great! I have also been there when the food was not good and the service was lacking. Not consistent when it comes to cooking the food. I have had the fish and chips twice. First time I loved it but the second time it was extremely over cooked, almost fried to a crisp. Also, they need more decor on the walls upstairs. I would give it a 3.5.

Cool setup, great bartenders. They have a huge beer list with something in the neighborhood of 40+ beers on tap. With that being said, I've tried several several beers here and I can't find one that I like, which is weird because I like beer.

Came here with a group of 6 to have drinks and appetizers. Waited at least 10 minutes before somebody stopped to help us. I mean it wasn't that busy for a week night. After getting seated, we went ahead and ordered. I love that there are so many micro brews in the great state of Wisconsin! I get to sample so many different beverages that I wouldn't otherwise try back home! I am a huge fan of New Glarus Spotted Cow, but something else caught my eye. Enter New Glarus Coffee Stout. I am a huge fan of stouts and this one did not disappoint! As for the food, we went with the chicken wings, onion rings, and fries. I know, interesting mix of foods. Some others went with burgers as well. If you are a fan of beer, I highly suggest this place!!

Who doesn't love a little Irish? This newest location of an original Oshkosh restaurant is a formidable addition to the community. This craftsman styled Irish gathering place offers a wide selection of beer, in fact 40 on tap, and a concentrated menu that appeals to everyone. The atmosphere I give 3 stars. Yes, it's brand new, but it's far from the authentic feel of Irish. Remove the name and the restaurant could serve other tastes. It's contemporary and is missing the true Irish flair. Food ranks 4 stars. Great Reuben ($8) with seasoned fries coupled with an appetizer that accompanies a good brew results in no complaints. Service is 3 stars. I had to remind my server for a round of drinks and ask for silverware. At the same time, she was passionate about her job and worked very hard. So.. If you're looking for a classic, authentic Irish pub look elsewhere. I wouldn't spend St. Patrick's Day here. But, if you're looking for some great food and a large selection of brews then give it a shot.

The poor acoustics indoors ruins the entire experience. The patio is beautiful & the nearby streets are not noisy. We did wait at least 10 minutes to be noticed by the hostess. There were only several tables of two occupied in the entire place. Once seated it took another 10 minutes to have a server get our drink order. We were there for 30 minutes before anyone took our order. Once our food came to the table, it was delicious. If you love beer, this is the place to go. They have an extensive array of beers featuring many from WI. I have recommended Dublin's to many of my friends & they enjoyed the food.

I started in the bar and had a great Bloody Mary. For dinner I had I had the chicken and the boss had the steak. Both were very good. My chicken was fresh and moist. They have a really cool patio with fire place. I would go back.

Stopped in with my wife after reading about this place on yelp. We come to west bend fairly often. Can't believe the quality of restaurants here. Was excited about the Irish food options and the impressive beer list. We had the fish n chips and the Shepards pie. Both were wonderful, some bread with the Shepards pie would have been nice. We came back after our party and had the walnut and cherry Bree. This was very good. Enjoyed many of the beers with assorted flights. Wait staff was great too. Will be back and will talk up to my beer drinking friends.

We went to Dublin's for the first time last night for drinks. We were very impressed with the venue, and will definitely be going back. The menu was very impressive. My husband is a craft brewer and was very impressed with the overall beer selections. My only complaint, and I felt strongly enough to write this review, is that the bartender should not be bartending at this quality of establishment. He was smug and had no interest in us as customers. He was more interested chatting with the waitresses. My husband ended up ordering his 2nd beer from a waitress from the dining room as the bartender had no intention in providing anything but minimal service. I would think that the management should be concerned enough to replace him--especially on a Saturday night.

My co-workers and I had been clamoring for a place with good beer to go for our Friday lunch outings. Prior to Dublin's coming to town, we usually just went to Riverside Brewery, BW3's or Benders. Now that Dublin's is in town, we go there about 50 percent of the time, and spread our other dining out between the three aforementioned restaurants. The beer selection at Dublin's is the best in the area. They have 40 different craft beers on tap, which are constantly rotating out once the small kegs are empty. They have tons of different styles, too, so whether you're into IPAs, stouts, lagers, fruit beers, etc., they will certainly have something that you will enjoy. The food at Dublin's is pretty good. Their cornmeal-dusted cheese curds are outrageously good (especially with the dipping sauce) and their banger boats are pretty delicious, as well. Their fish fry is pretty good, albeit salty (and for some reason I never feel good after eating it, though it really does taste good). Their coleslaw is so good that it would be worth getting the fish fry just for the slaw. Their reuben sandwiches are lackluster for an Irish restaurant, and their burgers are good but not great. Service is spotty. There are two bartenders in particular (one male, one female) that are pretty rude and care more about conversing with their coworkers than actually working. However, the other bartenders and waitresses are quick and professional. The newly remodeled building is beautiful and we are excited for the warmer weather so that we can enjoy their great patio. Ratings breakdown: Beer - 5 Food - 3 Service - 3 Atmosphere - 4

Would be 4.5, but can't. If they would allow pets in the patio, it would be the perfect spot. Had the shepherd's pie. So good. Server was perfect. Checking on us just the right amount of times. Highly recommend.

We went to Dublin's for the first time last month for dinner. It was during a Wisconsin basketball game and the bar area was full and lively with fans. It was March so the patio wasn't open. We sat upstairs and although it was dinner time on a Saturday there were only a scattering of occupied tables in the dining room. We started with the cornmeal cheese curds and drinks. I got one of the beer cocktails which was fine. For our main course I ordered the bacon jam burger and my boyfriend ordered the pork shoulder with polenta. He enjoyed his meal slightly more than I did although I was glad to see bacon jam on their menu, they definitely have some options above what I would expect for a West Bend sports bar (including vegetarian risotto). Next time I'll go for something a little more complex than the burger. The service was attentive and really the only downfall was the semi-deserted feel. Hopefully it was just quiet because it was a badger game night. I'm giving Dublin's a four for the nice dining experience, its beautiful building, and its potential. I'll be back soon for a drink on the patio or to watch a game at the bar.

I think I would much rather eat at a restaurant with below average food, but above average service. Unfortunately, Dublin's has above average food, with very below average service. On my last trip there it took us nearly 20 minutes just to get some water after we sat down. And it took nearly as long in between our drinks and finally our food to come out. Good thing the food and beer selection are both pretty good. It's the only thing saving Dublin's in my book.

Great food and an awesome beer tap selection. Marisa (3 weeks on the job) was a huge disappointment. Ordered drinks, appetizers came first with no plates, napkins or utensils. Had to ask for drinks and utensils. Food came, which was fine. Not a place for steaks FYI (medium rare was medium well). No steak knives. Another waitress brought them out for us. When Marisa asked how things were, it was so late in the dining experience that we were ready for the check. Check came. Needed some left overs boxed up (other menu items are amazing here BTW). Got our card back and waited and waited and waited for the leftovers. Never came. Please train this person better. Been there many time and have not had this disappointing experience.

    Love the atmosphere. Food is always great! Only once or twice have I felt like the service wasn't up to par, both times by bar keep - I felt as though I was a hinder to their socializing with other staff. Get the bloodys... All of them! And cheese curds. Yummmm!! The salmon is awesome! We'll be back. =}

We ate here with another couple and our 2 dogs on the patio this past weekend. The drinks, service, and food are absolutely outstanding, and the patio is beautiful. We felt relaxed and comfortable, and could have stayed much longer if we didn't have a 2 hour trip back to Chicago. Our 2 pups enjoyed the adoration by waitstaff, who even brought them a bowl of water! Dublin's is a breath of fresh air; we will definitely be back. Thanks for being a part of our happy memories of West Bend!

I *really* wanted to like this place. It's new, West Bend needs some different newer restaurants, great building, good parking. But... Ultimately it comes down to value and service. My wife and I had dinner there and I admit I walked away disappointed. If I was ranking the food quality *alone* (quality, NOT value) I'd give them a solid 3/12 stars. But a restaurant isn't only about the food quality, it's about the entire experience and value. The best part of the meal was the appetizers. We ordered the deep fried pickles. Excellent and served quickly. Then we waited for our order to come.. and waited.. and waited. Finally the waitress came over and said our tickets had gotten "lost" and we needed to re-order. Because she didn't write our order down but relied on memory, we had to tell her what we originally ordered. Um... ok.. so we re-ordered. And waited... and waited. I was hoping the waitress would comp us a drink or desert or something???. Nope.. full price for everything. No apologies for losing the order. Too bad for you. Food. I had the slow cooked pork belly. I admit the quality was pretty good. Quantity not so much. Extremely small portions. My wife had the Veggie Risotto. Same thing, Tasty, but very small amount of Risotto for the price. All ala cart. No soup or salad or bread or anything included which really hits the value. The bill was pretty high for what we got. On the way out the hostess wanted to know if we tried the "special". Umm.. what special? Wasn't on the menu, waitress never mentioned it. sorry.. I didn't try the special, because I didn't know about it. While it seems like it would be a nice addition to the West Bend dining scene, it just doesn't hit the mark. I won't be making a return visit. Go to Applebee's (God Forbid) instead.

My family and i have been here twice already. The first time for lunch. we ordered the smoked chicken wings, they were very good and the sauces with them were awesome too but i think we got 5 or 6 wings, didn't think it was enough for the price. it also came out about a minute before the meal. my husband ordered a rueben and said it was pretty good and i got the leg of lamb wrap, it was not good... very dry, tough meat that didnt taste like lamb, not a lot of flavor. my daughter got the mac and cheese from the kids menu and liked it. the portions were big for the meals. the waitress we had was awkward... she set a huge pile dirty plates on our table from another table while we were eating (to grab our app plate) and spilled feta cheese EVERYWHERE and never came back to clean it up. She brought the bill, waited, watched my husband write her tip out and sign it and took the ticket all in one trip. also we didnt get silverware or napkins until 5 mins into our meal and she never refilled water. second trip was for dinner. we brought my mom. she joked that everything she ever orders restaurants dont have, and it didnt fail. ordered the lamb pot pie, didnt have it, later ordered a dessert, they didnt have those either. ha. everyone did enjoy their food that they did get and the waitress, Amy, was good too. didnt get silverware/napkins right away however. tried 2 different burgers, the smoked turkey/bean soup and the half chicken plate, all very good and huge portions. also i think all the turkey or chicken you will get here is super smoked, its good if you like smoked meat. love the industrial lights, floors and propeller fans, awesome always changing beer selection, nice bar, spacious upstairs.

My wife and I are creatures of habit, and have our top 4 or 5 restaurants that we go to all the time. Over the years we had gone to this place when it was the Binkery (even when it was over in its old location). The food was good, but there was nothing special enough about it that made it one of our favorites. When we heard that it had been remodeled and was re-opening under new management as an Irish Pub, and some of the staff from the just-closed Amici's were coming here to work, we thought we'd give it another try. Realizing that opening weekend would likely mean long ticket times and possibly some food and service issues, we still decided to give them a shot to make a good first impression. The remodeling job is stunning. While still a little snug on the first floor, unlike the Binkery, the upstairs is now open as a spacious dining area with a second bar. Really cool ceiling with unique antique lighting and fans. Even though we expected it, our waitress warned us of a long ticket time, so we ordered an appetizer. Which actually came without too long of a delay. Not a big fan of typical Irish fare, so we picked a safe choice: the Mozarella rolls. Pleasantly surprised that the dipping sauce wasn't your typical marinara out of the jar. Not sure if it was home made, but was just different enough to give it a "wow." The wait for my prime rib was about 45 minutes, but was worth it. I'm a prime rib snob, and if a restaurant can't get it right, I won't be back. It was EXCELLENT. Great cut of meat, done perfectly and smoked to boot. Came with tasty, not overdone, vegetables and dense, flavorful mashed potatoes that obviously were made from scratch. We were fortunate to have gotten there early, as the opening weekend popularity had them running out of some items by 9pm. But I'm confident that all of this is just opening weekend kinks that will be worked out as Dublin's becomes an unexpectedly popular new restaurant in the West Bend area. Before we left, we stopped to check out the incredible huge stone fireplace in their expanded patio. It was mild enough outside that there were a dozen people out there enjoying a a fire, a sign that when the weather gets nice, the large outdoor dining area will be a favorite hangout for the locals... including us!

My wife and I look for 3 things in a restaurant: good food, sensible prices, and an appealing atmosphere. Upon our first visit to Dublin's for lunch, it has all three and is now on my list of favorite places to eat in West Bend. First off, the restored 100+ year-old house looks incredible. I can't say as though it really looks "Irish" to me, but I really like what was done to the building and it's obvious that some serious money was spent to make this place special. We were in a bit of a hurry for lunch, which probably isn't a good idea when going to a nice sit-down restaurant, but the waitress got us in and out with time to spare. I had the "Smoked Chicken Breast" sandwich and my wife had the "TMA Sandwich". Both looked and tasted great. I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken on my sandwich was shaved into long strips, just like the bacon. I much prefer that over thick slabs of chicken. Both sandwiches came with French fries that were about as tasty as French fries can get and properly cooked. I appreciate that both sandwiches were a little different than what you can get at other restaurants, and yet the price of each was very reasonable considering this isn't McDonald's. Neither of us had anything to drink beyond water, but with over 30 beers on tap, I can only imagine that fans of craft beers will think they died and gone to heaven at Dublin's. I don't think I've ever seen so many beer tap handles in one place at one time! Like most bars these days, there are multiple TV's suspended from the ceiling in the bar area so you can enjoy your drink and watch the game(s). Being the dead of winter right now, the outdoor seating area was not an option. However, come summer, I'm expecting that Dublin's will be the "place to be" when the weather warms-up and people can sit outside and enjoy the outdoor fireplace. The only minor suggestion I have is that the menu could be a little more descriptive. For example, my sandwich was listed as "Smoked Chicken Breast", with no mention that it was as sandwich or that it came with a side of French fries. While I was pleased that it was a sandwich, I almost didn't choose it because I thought I'd just be getting a chicken breast on a plate. I was considering giving Dublin's 5 stars, but my visit was so short that I figure I had better go a few more times to see if they earn the coveted 5-stars. :-) For a restaurant that's only been open for just over a month, Dublin's is doing things right as far as I'm concerned. I'll be back!

Beautiful building. Great beer selection. Portion size is not worth the price. French fries should not be chewy! Marinara sauce should not be runny. I would recommend the banger boats!
